Learning the Sasa

Talofa
As part of our learning for Samoan Language Week the Pacific Island group from Broadgreen Intermediate came and taught us how to do their Sasa.
A Sasa is a Samoan dance usually used to welcome people or in celebrations.
It was tricky at first but the more we practised the better we got.

Then we showed the children in Room 8 how to do it.  They performed the Sasa at their Syndicate Assembly.
We also taught Room 2 the Sasa.  We even performed it at our Syndicate Assembly.  After all the practising and teaching others we found that we got really good at doing the movements in time and going in the same directions.
